We were recently asked to level, prepare and reseed the ground outside Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot, Berkshire.
The ground was very wet but it was no problem for our 3t mini excavator and land rake which we used first to level and clean the area before spreading the wildflower seed. The area will be rolled later in the Spring to level down fully ready for the grass to fully establish. Another job expertly carried out by our team.

Back in July we were contacted by Nigel Adams, a renowned hedgerow specialist who lives in Oxfordshire to talk about how we could help him to cut back and coppice some heavily overgrown hedgerows as part of the Watlington hedgerow project. The hedgerows in question had a number of hawthorn trees, many of which had grown beyond their healthy life stage and fallen over, some were covered in ivy and others had died completely.
We suggested the use of our mini excavator with tree shear to enable a fast, easier and safer dismantle of the trees as well as utilising the low ground pressure of the smaller machine. With a 200mm cutting capacity, the little machine and shear was more than capable of the task.
So, along came October and work commenced, we moved the machine to Oxfordshire for the duration and made the area safe. Nigel and another neighbouring landowner Paul were on hand with chainsaws to deal with any fallen or snapped trunks and to cut any remaining ivy from any of the trees that remained. We chose a few of the stable mature trees to remain within the hedge and trimmed these to make them safe and healthy again. Within just a few hours we had reduced a good 80-100m of hedge, something that would’ve taken a good couple of days had it been completed manually.
Another couple of days saw the rest of the overgrown hedgerows reduced using the excavator and tree shear and the project completed. The hedge can now regrow naturally from the coppiced stumps to create a healthy solid hedge, any gaps from the dead trees will be replanted with new native species.

So it’s winter again and that means mud, lots and lots of mud! Read below about one of our recent paddock gateway repair jobs.
This was the case for one of our clients whose situation had gotten so bad they were unable to turn the horses out or even get muck to the heap, no problem though as our mini excavator and operator soon had the mud dig away, a hard base put down and smooth blinding material over the top making a very much needed improvement and immediately made the paddock usable again.

As part of our vegetation management service we were tasked to some shrub bed removal which involved fully removing the old shrubs and their roots from a series of shrub beds around commercial office units in Oxford ready for the redesign and new planting, our 3t mini excavator was the perfect machine for this job along with a skip loading dumper to transfer the waste direct to a waiting skip for disposal.
We spent a few weekends over the end of 2019/ beginning of 2020 to complete the shrub bed removal work and used weekends to enable us free access to the areas whilst the cars from the office staff were not there.

A nice local project for one of the local pub/hotel companies to provide an extension to their car park for staff parking and install some concrete areas for placing wheelie bins on.
Our 3t mini digger was the perfect machine for this job and we had the whole project completed in just 2 days.

We were asked by a tree surgery company to help with some vegetation clearance work to enable a new wider and much improved cycle path and pedestrian footpath upgrade for Guildford council. We used one of our 5t mini excavators fitted with a flail attachment to cut back all of the overgrowth and trees all down to ground level before the tree care guys used chainsaws to tidy up any flailed edges.

Work was completed in a very cost effective manner and in a short timescale, another job well done by our staff.
We are able to assist with all types of vegetation clearance and management work through Berkshire and the surrounding counties.
